On October 30, 2019, the City of Cincinnati adopted new laws that affect landlords owning property within the city of Cincinnati. One of many new requirements is to register your residential rental property within 60 days after the effective date or after purchase (whichever is later). Failure to register will result in significant civil fines.

While a website or method to register is still not available, we now know the effective date (which will start the 60-day clock) isĀ April 30, 2020.

You will receive an email notification once we confirm the City of Cincinnati has posted the new website allowing rental registration.

From time-to-time, we will send helpful information related to important legal topics.
