Joint Trust Irrevocable
In some cases, if a married couple creates a joint trust, certain aspects of the joint trust will become irrevocable upon the death of the first spouse. This is necessary to ensure a transfer takes place, avoiding probate. In some cases, there will be provisions of a trust which transfer spousal assets to a third party from the joint trust.
